I remember being around 9 or 10 and my father taking me to D.C. to go to the Hirshhorn Gallery of Modern Art for the first time. I had been to many galleries with him before; I had seen portraits and landscapes, masterworks of realism. But the moment I absorbed Modern Art for the first time is burned into my mind like a beautiful movie I am lucky to rewatch again and again when I need to find inspiration or motivation. In one second I felt the art on the walls all around me in my heart for the first time. It spoke to something inside my soul. That moment changed me and has continued to shape my work for the past 25 years.

These pieces are made from the mundane moments in my life that spark that same joy for life and creation I found so long ago as a child looking at a Pollock for the first time. The models are my tribe, the people who bring my soul the most joy. These images are displayed with their approval and are not for sale.
